Getting to know each other
REGULAR SERVICE TIMES
We meet every Sunday at 10:00am for the main Worship Service at the VFW Memorial Building in North Haverhill, NH.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Our services are very casual with a “come as you are” atmosphere. You don’t need to worry about wearing your Sunday finest, as we believe that God isn’t as concerned about our outward appearances as He is with our hearts.
We strive to start our services at 10 AM, but coffee and conversation is always a great way to start the day. Don’t worry about being late! We are always just glad to see you.
Weekly attendance can vary, but average Sunday attendance tends to be between 8-12 people, though if everyone came at once, we’d be closer to 30. Regardless of how many are present, you’ll find yourself feeling at home.
Our Sunday morning worship service usually lasts around an hour and a half. Services begin with contemporary worship music accompanied by an acoustic guitar. You don’t need to know any lyrics as we usually project the words onto the wall or have song sheets available as a backup.
After brief announcements, our congregation shares their prayer needs and what God has done in their lives over the past week. We also dedicate the last Sunday of each month as a ‘Testimony Sunday’ where people have an extended time to give praise to God for all that He’s done and to take communion together.
After the music portion is over, I share a message from God’s word. I primarily preach from the New Living Translation (NLT). My sermons are Bible-based, applying timeless truths to our current day. My goal is not to tell you what to think or to believe, but to encourage you to seek a personal relationship with Jesus.
As I like to say, “don’t check your brains at the door.” I don’t believe that faith and intelligence are mutually exclusive, but that God actually wants us to use the minds He gave us to actively seek truth.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
As I mentioned earlier, we’re not concerned about how you look or dress. Come as you are and expect to be welcomed as a guest of ours.
Oh, and plan on staying for lunch!
Immediately after the service is concluded, most people stay to have lunch. Each week, we have a “potblessing” meal, and everyone is welcome to stay and eat regardless of whether they brought any food with them. The conversation and fellowship shared during this time is one of the greatest parts of our church family, as it is a time of authentic connection.
If you have any questions before your visit, please do reach out! I’m happy to talk with you, and I look forward to meeting you in person!
Love in Christ,
Pastor Joe Grabowski
