For Our Benefit
(Adapted from the sermon, The Sacrifice of Thanksgiving: From Ritual to Relationship)
All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory.2 Corinthians 4:15 (NLT)
As we bring our devotional series on the sacrifice of thanksgiving to a close, let us remember that our gratitude not only benefits us personally, but it also has a greater impact. When we cultivate a heart of thanksgiving and share God’s grace with others, it leads to great thanksgiving and brings glory to God. Our sacrifices of thanksgiving have the power to spread God’s love, touch lives, and bring others into a deeper relationship with Him.
- How have you seen the impact of gratitude and thanksgiving in your own life and in the lives of others?
- How can you actively share God’s grace and love with others through acts of thanksgiving?
PERSONAL APPLICATION: Reflect on the ways God has blessed and transformed your life. Consider sharing your story of gratitude and thanksgiving with others, whether through written testimony, speaking engagements, or personal conversations. Look for opportunities to demonstrate God’s love and grace to those around you.
LOVE IN ACTION: Seek out ways to serve and bless others, not just during the Thanksgiving season, but throughout the year. Let your life be an expression of gratitude and thanksgiving, impacting those around you and drawing them closer to God.
